In this customer facing role, Tina is responsible for helping businesses drive data innovation typically as an important component of an enterprise wide transformation initiative.  Additionally as head of data innovation, she works directly with senior business executives to design a data management approach, future state information management capabilities and consult with executives on the execution of their data strategy.

As a business strategy professional, Tina has more than 25 years of experience in business process re-engineering, defining business impact and leading transformation programs. During her 18 years at SAP, she has held executive positions in business operations, consulting management, and corporate strategy. Her expertise ranges from building best practice enterprise programs, defining data management innovations, driving data technology development, and managing teams of data stewards and data operations.

Over the past 8 years Tina has been an SAP operational executive, reporting to the COO/CIO. Leading SAP’s data governance program, she was responsible for SAP’s own data governance program across lines of business and for leading the enterprise data strategy across SAP. In her data strategy role, she excelled at defining and implementing the information management framework from business strategy through to technical enablement and continuous improvement.

A recognised expert in information management, Tina is regularly requested to speak at industry events and lead SAP’s Chief Data Officer engagement. Under her guidance, SAP’s internal Enterprise Data Management team is a recognised industry leader having received awards for its data quality approach, overall organisational structure, and the programs’ overall return on investment.

Tina also serves as President of the European chapter of the Women in Big Data network whose mission is to promote diversity in the field of data management. She lives with her family in Paris, France.

This Sit-Down will highlight and discuss strategies and methods on how to:

Become a powerful change agent. Leverage enterprise data strategy as a blueprint for creating a data-driven culture that harnesses the power of data and analytics to achieve business outcomes.

There’s no shortage of blue-sky thinking when it comes to organisations’ strategic plans and road maps. To many, such efforts are just a novelty. Indeed, organisations’ strategic plans often generate very few tangible results for organisations – only lots of meetings and documentation. A successful plan, on the other hand, will identify realistic goals along with a road map that provides clear guidance on how to best get the job done.

As the world becomes smarter and smarter, data becomes the key to competitive advantage, meaning a company’s ability to compete will increasingly be driven by how well it can leverage data

Aligning a data strategy to the business strategy so that the business strategy can be achieved is the primary reason to have a data strategy. A data strategy must resonate within all levels of the organisation. It needs to have the meaning and context of the business.
